LED komponent üretim kapasitesi açısından da dünyanın en büyük üretim kapasitesine sahip firması.
Forest Lighting Mls firmasının yan şirketi olarak kuruldu. 2005 yılında LED ürünlerinin de üretimine başladık. 2005 yılından sonra yeni ürünler üretmeye devam ettik.
2011 yılında da kendi markamızı oluşturduk. Çin pazarında 30.000 satış noktamız mevcut. Hindistan pazarında, Amerika pazarında ve Güneydoğu Asya pazarında çok başarılı projeler gerçekleştirdik. Şuanda da Kendal Elektrik ile beraber Türkiye pazarına giriyoruz.

Türkiye’de birçok firma varken Kendal Elektrik’le çalışmayı tercih etmenizin sebepleri neler?
Kendal Elektrik Türkiye’de ki en güçlü dağıtım ağı ve ismi olan şirket. Bu nedenle bu işi Kendal Elektrik İle yapmaya karar verdik. Türkiye de ve Ortadoğu pazarında Kendal Elektrik ile çok daha büyük projeler yapmak için yola çıktık. Hedeflerimiz de oldukça büyük.
Daha öncede söylediğim gibi dünyanın çok büyük komponent üreten firmasıyız. Ve aynı zamanda LED armatür de üreten bir firmayız. Kendal Elektriğin de gücünü birleştirip pazarda çok daha güçlü ve farklı noktalara geleceğimize inanıyoruz.
Türkiye konum olarak çok stratejik bir noktada. Asya ile Avrupa’yı bağlayan bir köprü konumunda olduğu için Avrupa’ya ve diğer Ortadoğu ülkelerine açılmak için çok büyük önemli fırsatlar var.
Aydınlatma endüstrisinde Türkiye’de çok büyük fırsatlar mevcut. Eski tip ürünleri üreten aydınlatma firmaları değişime uğrayıp LEDe doğru dönüyorlar. Türkiye pazarında çok büyük fırsatlar var dememin sebebi de budur.
Ortağımız Kendal Elektrik ile beraber Türkiye’de aydınlatma sektöründe ve aydınlatma sanayisinde fırsatları birlikte kovalıyoruz. 2015 yılı sonu itibariyle de Türkiye’de beraber LED komponentleri üretim planımız da var. Kuracağımız fabrikayla beraber ciddi anlamda bu sektöre de hizmet vereceğiz.
LED komponent dışındaki ürün çeşitliliğinizden bahsedecek olursak ürün gamınızda başka hangi ürünler mevcut?
LED üçe bölünmüş durumdadır. Birincisi bunun kaynağı yani LED komponentlerin güç kaynak kısmı, ikincisi ürün haline getirilmesi ve üçüncüsü de inovasyon yani yaratıcılık aşamasıdır. Bunların üçü de birbirinden farklı güçtür.
Şuanda Mls firması LED komponent konusunda çok geniş avantajlara sahip. Bu nedenle üretime ilk etapta LED ampuller ve LED tüplerle başladık.
Dünya’daki aydınlatma sektörünün %80’i Çin’den geliyor. Biz de Çin’in en büyük aydınlatma fabrikasıyız. Bu konumda ciddi anlamda kuvvetimiz var. Belli bölgedeki partnerlerimizle bu pazarı daha da genişletip büyüteceğiz.
LED üretimiyle alakalı çok ciddi tecrübelerimiz var. Bu konudaki tecrübelerimizi Türkiye’deki LED üreticileri ve LED sanayisinin içindeki firmalarla da paylaşıp onlarla çok iyi çalışmalar yapacağımıza inanıyoruz.
Çin’de aylık 8 milyon adet LED ampul üretim kapasitemiz mevcut. Aylık LED tüp üretimimiz 7 milyon adet. 3 milyon adette LED armatür üretimimiz var. LED komponent olarak da her ay 24 milyar adet LED komponent üretiyoruz. Bu yüzden çok güçlü bir fabrikayız.
LED aydınlatma ile Türkiye’de aydınlatma sektöründe her şeyi yapabilme imkanınız var. LED aydınlatma sektörü için fırsat olmasının ana sebebi budur.
Sadece onun tasarruflu veya uzun ömürlü olması değil aydınlatmayla ilgili her şeyi yapabiliyor olmanızındır. Bütün mobilyayı, masayı, sandalyeyi her şeyi LEDe çevirebilirsiniz. Bu bir fırsattır. Bunu birleştirerek yeni bir dekoratif ortaya çıkartabilirsiniz.
LED komponent üretiminden geldiğimiz için LED komponentte neler yapabileceğimizi, farklı farklı renkler ve ürünler üretebileceğimizi biliyoruz. LED komponent üretiminden LED tüp, LED armatür ve LED ampule geçtiğimizde LEDle ilgili her şeyi yapabiliriz ve aydınlatma sektörüne hizmetler de verebiliriz.
Sektörde çok fazla LED firması var. Aydınlatma sektörünün gelişimi ile ilgili neler düşünüyorsunuz?
LED ürünleri ağırlıklı olarak LED tüpler, LED paneller ve LED armatürlerde kullanılıyor. Birçok sektör artık LED sektörüyle ilgileniyor. İnşaat malzemeleriyle uğraşan sektördeki firmalar da LED aydınlatmanın uçsuz bucaksız bir sektör olacağını çok net görüyorlar.
Bu sektöre birçok firmanın ilgi ve alakası var. Bu durumda asıl önemli olan farklılık yaratabilmektir. Yaratıcılık ve kaliteyi ortaya koyan firmalar bu sektörde devam edecekler. Bunun dışındaki firmalar biraz daha geri planda kalacaklar.
Son olarak eklemek istediğiniz bir şeyler var mı?
LED aydınlatma sadece aydınlatma değildir. Çok daha büyük fırsatların olduğu sektördür. Türkiye de çok ciddi bir potansiyel var. Biz de Kendal Elektrik ile birlikte bu fırsatları değerlendireceğiz. Son olarak bizlere böyle bir fırsat verdiğiniz için çok teşekkür ediyorum.
Kendal bey sizin eklemek istediğiniz bir şeyler var mı?
Kendal Elektrik olarak 1997 yılından beri sektördeyiz. Türkiye pazarında aydınlatma sektöründe K2 ve Global markalarıyla ismimizi yaymış olduk.
Yakın bir süreç içerisinde Türkiye pazarındaki sanayicilerin ve aydınlatma sektöründeki imalatçıların da Çinli üretici ve imalatçılar gibi güçleneceğini düşünüyoruz. Çin’in en büyük avantajı yan sanayilerinin olması.
Mls gibi dünya çapında çok güçlü LED komponent ve LED çip üreten fabrikaların olması yine LED pcb konusunda dünyanın çok büyük fabrikalarının olması Çin’in aydınlatmada söz sahibi olmasını sağlıyor.
Mls’i Türkiye’de LED komponent üretimi yapmaya ikna ettik. Böylelikle 2016 yılının başında bu fabrikayı faaliyete geçireceğiz. Böylelikle Türkiye’de ki imalatçılara ve yan sanayicilere de bir yandan destek olmuş olacağız.
Biz Türkiye’nin üretim konusundaki gücüne inanıyoruz. LED konusunda bir yan sanayinin Türkiye’de oluşması gerekiyor. Yan sanayinin güçlü bir şekilde oluşmasından sonra aydınlatmanın dünya çapında Çin gibi söz sahibi olmaması için hiçbir sebep kalmayacak.
Sektörüm Dergisi:Let’s get to our interview with a brief information about Forest Lighting.
Lawrence LIN:Forest Lighting was established as a LED components manufacturer. It is the largest LED manufacturing plant available in China. It is also ranking the 9th place in the world. Nevertheless, it is the largest firm in the world in terms of LED components manufacturing. It is a subsidiary of Forest Lighting MIs.
We have launched our LED product manufacturing operation in 2005. We have been developing our product range ever since. Then, we established our own brand in 2011.
We are now furthering our operations with 30,000 POS in China. We have conducted very successful projects in India, America and Southeastern Asia. And now we are entering Turkish market with Kendal Electric.
What are the reason behind your choice of Kendal Electric among many others in Turkey?
Kendal Electric has the strongest distribution network and reputation in Turkey. Therefore, we elected Kendal Electric for this operation. We are now walking hand in hand with Kendal Electric in order to undertake large projects both in Turkey and the Middle East. We have set the highest goals.
As I mentioned, we ate the world’s largest components manufacturer. We are also manufacturing LED luminaires. We believe we will obtain a strong and different position in the market joining our forces with Kendal Electric.
Turkey is a very strategic country in terms of its location. As it is a bridge between Asia and Europe, it offers significant opportunities in order to reach out to Europe and the Middle East.
Turkish lighting industry also offers significant opportunities. Many lighting firms are now adopting LED manufacturing. That’s why I said it offers significant opportunities.
We are pursuing these opportunities in Turkish lighting industry with our business partner, Kendal Electric. We are also planning to manufacture LED components in Turkey by the end of 2015. We will be serving to this industry with the manufacturing plant we are planning to establish.
When it comes to products other than LED components, what other products are in your product range?
LED can be evaluated in 3 branches. First is the power source part of the LED components, second is making a product out of this power source and third is the innovation phase. All those three are powerful and different operations.
Today, we can see that MIs has significant advantages in LED components. Therefore, we have launched LED lamp and LED tubes production at the first place. 80% of the goods available in the lighting industry in the world comes from China.
And we are the largest lighting company of China. We have substantial power in that matter. We will be growing our market share with partnerships in specific regions in the world.
We also have a substantial experience in LED manufacturing. We believe it will be possible to have a successful performance sharing our experience with LED manufacturers and other firms operating in the LED industry in Turkey.
We are now working with a capacity of 8 million LED bulbs/month in China. Our monthly LED tube production is 7 million. Yet, we also manufacture 3 million LED luminaires. Our LED components production is approximately 24 billion /month. Thus, we are a strong company.
We have all the opportunities to achieve any goal in the Turkish lighting industry with LED lighting. That is the reason behind what I have said about opportunities in LED lighting. It is not only because we are manufacturing economical or long-lasting products but also we are able to do anything on lighting. We can turn a massive furniture, a table, a chair into LED. That is an opportunity. We can have a brand new decorative application combining these elements.
As we have our roots in LED components production, we know what we can do with LED components, the different colors and products we can manufacture. We can do anything related to LED and serve to the lighting industry when we take a step LED components production to LED tube, LED luminaires and LED bulb production.
There are many firms operating in this industry. What do you think about the developments in lighting industry?
LED products are mainly used in LED tubes, LED panels and LED luminaires. Many other industries are now interested in the LED industry. Companies which are involved in construction material are now able to see the sea of opportunities in LED lighting. Many are interested in this industry.
In this case, what’s important is to be able to make a difference. Firms which are able to offer innovation and quality will prevail. Others will be under the shadow of those firms.
Do you have anything to add?
LED lighting is not just lighting. It is an industry offering bigger opportunities. Turkey has a substantial potential in this context. And, we will be seizing on this opportunities with Kendal Electric. Finally, I would like to thank you for giving us such an opportunity.
Kendal, do you have anything to add?
We have been in this industry since 1997, under the Kendal Electric brand. We are known for our brands, K2 and Global, in Turkish lighting industry. We believe industrialists and manufacturers in Turkish lighting market will soon gain strength like their Chinese counterparts.
China has its greatest advantages in its sub-industries. Strong LED component and LED chip manufacturers like MIs and having large scale manufacturing plants in LED pcb gets China on top of the game.
We convinced MIs to manufacture LED components in Turkey. Thus, we will get our manufacturing plant operational by the beginning of 2016.
Therefore, we will also be a support for manufacturers and sub-industrialists in Turkey. We believe in the manufacturing power of Turkey. We need a LED sub-industry to be shaped in Turkey. There will be no obstacle left keeping us from success like China as this sub-industry is shaped.
